I don’t know what I was expecting at Found Kitchen & Social House, which comes from chef Nicole Pederson, who most recently oversaw the kitchen at C-House, and restaurateur Amy Morton. But it likely wasn’t a lively, happy crowd, people at every mismatched set of table and chairs, a 45-minute wait, or a dining room so haphazardly arranged and yet so inviting that you’d be tempted to wait those out no matter how crowded the circumstances. We ended up eating at the bar, where a friendly, admirably mustached bartender obliged us with a lovely pisco sour with lavender bitters and bourbon-oriented cocktails just as good. You’ll find Pederson’s plates to be shareable, generously portioned, and a good deal for such swank digs. A crock of roasted brussels sprouts with squash and harissa is so warm, sweet, and spicy I could eat it all winter long. A flatbread with celery root puree and braised short rib is made transcendent by a big pile of lemon-juice-tossed arugula atop it, the peppery acidity providing just the right counterpoint. There’s an open-face pork shoulder sandwich with mashed sweet potatoes and gravy, and chicken wings, fried twice so that the skin is like its own especially delicious form of meat that just happens to be the wrapping paper for this other really great kind of meat. The menu also contains, among other things, a chef’s board of meats, cheeses, and veggies; flatiron steak; root vegetable stew; lamb meatballs with chimichurri; and orange pound cake, chocolate pot de creme, and “butterscotch bourbon pecan gelato sundae.” It was an unusual pleasure to interact with the staff, all of whom seemed to be enjoying themselves—god knows I was.

Found is a “Farm to Table” restaurant getting the vast majority of its product delivered daily, by the farmers themselves, from within a two hour drive.

I've been to Found with my family and friends 6-7 times in several years, but the service this past Friday night from 6:15-8 pm was beyond awful this time. (And was pretty bad last visit but we let it slide thinking a one time thing). Clearly, level of device is rapidly declining. Only had 5 in our party but we were ignored most of time and dishes came out not in order requested or grouped as requested. (Wanted salads first, fries to come with other dishes, etc. We've been here before so know how it all works. We had to chase down our waitress constantly for drink orders, water, asking why it took 40 min to get just one of our 7 dishes ordered. At one point we were ordering 2 additional dishes from a flustered bus boy!!Clearly, they need more help in kitchen so food doesn't take SO long AND train your wait staff about making things seamlessly run. Patrons shouldn't be standing up looking for the harried waitress. Prices are much too high and food too good (once it arrives) for such terrible service. We won't be back until we hear things have improved.

Everything we ordered was delicious! Found has a very bohemian feel and very inviting. It is very cute and romantic. We ordered the bread, salad, twice fried chicken wings, lamb meatballs and the steak. Everything was so amazing and they timed it perfectly. This is a must go!

Found is a shared plate, farm to table restaurant created by Proprietor Amy Morton. Chef Nicole Pederson’s ever-changing menu accommodates vegans, meat lovers and everyone in between.Reservations are accepted and spontaneous dining is encouraged! Much of our dining room is held open for walk-ins. Please feel free to walk-in anytime.

I have to say the last couple of times we went to Found, our expectations were not met, mostly due to service issues. This time it renewed our faith. Our server was great, food was spot on and overall the experience very satisfying. We like that they have a good proportion of vegetable plates to meat plates, which makes it a good place to go if you are going with a vegetarian.

First table, too tight, on top of a large group, asked for better table, too far back, removed from the atmosphere, 3 rd table was just right!!!Thank you! Wait staff was very attentive to a friends dietary needs. The dinner and recommended house chardonnay was enjoyable. Overall, nice relaxed dinner.

Sadly this was NOT our best experience at a place I normally rave about. Our server was over the top ,in your face, with faux enthusiasm and a very scripted infomercial. Even after we told him that we were regulars his dialogue remained beyond what was necessary. What happened to polite and quick wait staff that doesn't try to join our group? And because he HAD to complete his stand up routine with all 6 or 7 of his tables his attention was not where it should have been. This young man would do well to back off and tend to business and leave the shtick to his after hours gig. All dishes were delicious however the salmon plate was no where near big enough to share and at 28 dollars one should easily have expected more. New management or just slipping? Per CHANCE we shall try a new place to relax with good food and surroundings:(
